We'll start at the beginning. Laura had her first orchestra concert in December. For reasons unknown she decided to throw her bow underneath the risers when she was supposed to be playing.
I didn't get any shots on stage. I'm lame like that sometimes. I was very impressed at how well they all played. They really made music! And good music at that!
After the concert came Christmas! Because I live on the corner and wear a housedress you know I have to dress cats up for the holiday:
L got an iPod for Christmas and it has been total pain in the ass ever since. Really Apple? Must it be SO difficult?! I guess 'tech minded' should be my #1 requirement for a mate....
Kittenapolis gave me the gift of not having to store/move/worry about the etched glass nativity I made 15 years ago:
Meh.
Which brings us to New Year's. I hope everyone had some kissy kissy to ring in the new year. have you already abandoned your resolutions? The world is gonna end this year anyway so I say live like this is your last year. And if you plan on stealing cars and joyriding please pick me up on the way....
I made these:
They are paper so they didn't last long but did make January more fun. What's your stance on the word 'funner'? I say it's legit and should be used more often.
And now we've arrived to the LUV month! Laura loves kissy kissy so she choose to be born in the month that celebrates kissy kissy. Luckily her new braces are now made safer for kissing....
We celebrated with a Pink Party. We had ginormous balloons!:
They were lots of fun for everyone but the cats. Since I am me I also allowed the girls to suck the end of the helium tank-not from the tank, from balloons. Encouraging bad habits is what I am all about ;) The girls had a ton of fun and had NO sugar:
Oops! I forgot the cat circus! I work with a highly amusing woman and one day she randomly comes over and asks me if I am going to see the cat band. Well I am the cat lady how can I NOT go?! They had a chicken playing the tambourine, a cat on drums and one on piano, cats that did all kinds of tricks, and we had quite the adventure finding the place. Thanks for that L...
I didn't get pix of the tricks but the chicken and white cat had a bowling contest, a groundhog "drove" a toy car, and there was lots of agility talent.
Anyone still reading? We're now up to March! Things I made in March:
Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes for Dr Suess' bday
homemade donuts...trust me on it
I took 2 too tight T's and made one, one of a kind shirt which fits much better
I then I started dating again and stopped making stuff and started having fabulous stories. Well that's us in a nutshell over the last few months. I will leave you with pix of cats in tiny somberos b/c they are amusing:
